Outside My Window Global STEAM Project
Ready to engage young people in a creative and personal storytelling project? The "Outside My Window" Global STEAM Project empowers students to showcase their culture and communities through diverse creative mediums. By sharing their perspectives with peers worldwide, students gain inspiration and a deeper appreciation for global diversity through interactive showcases and meaningful exchanges.
Project Overview
Objective:
The #OutsideMyWindowProject Global STEAM Project invites PK-12 students from around the world to explore and share their unique perspectives of the world outside their window through the lens of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). This project fosters global connections, creativity, and interdisciplinary learning by encouraging students to express their surroundings through various artistic and scientific mediums.
Deliverables
Students may submit one or more of the following creative and analytical outputs:
- Photography & Digital Art – Capturing the beauty and uniqueness of their surroundings
- Videos & Short Films – Storytelling through motion and sound
- Paintings & Drawings – Expressing perspectives through visual arts
- Poetry & Creative Writing – Conveying emotions and insights through words
- Music Compositions & Soundscapes – Using music to interpret their environment
- Scientific Observations & Data Visualizations – Analyzing and presenting data related to weather, biodiversity, or geography
- Coding & Interactive Media – Creating digital interpretations of their view
2025 Project Timeline
- Launch Date: March 7th, 2025
- Submission Deadline: May 21st, 2025
- Virtual Showcase & Celebrations: The Live Global Exhibition will run all day on May 21st - World Day for Cultural Diversity, however post at anytime! Post your artifacts on Instagram, X, Bluesky, or Facebook using #OutSideMyWindowProject.
How to Participate
- Observe and document the view "outside your window".
- Choose a STEAM medium to express and analyze your perspective.
- Create your deliverable and share via Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, X, or BlueSky using #OutsideMyWindowProject - Post on May 21st World Day for Cultural Diversity
- Optional: Tag or follow @authlearn4all (IG/X) or @mrswilliams21c (IG/X/Bluesky) or post to Authentic Learning For All Facebook Page for resharing.
- Engage with global peers by having a viewing party and responding to other submissions.

By sharing student deliverables to preferred social platform or public forum, the school confirms that it has obtained all necessary permissions, including parental or guardian consent if required. The school assumes full responsibility for the content shared.
