The Authentic Learning Alliance is proud to partner with Agile Classrooms to offer this one-day, hands-on workshop that introduces students to Agile Scrum in a fun and engaging way, empowering participants with the tools and mindset to collaborate effectively on team projects. Whether working on authentic learning experiences, STEM challenges, or school-wide initiatives, students will gain practical skills to organize, plan, and reflect using industry-aligned agile practices. No test, no pressure, just an immersive experience in teamwork, problem-solving, and self-management.
Upon completion, students earn their Student Scrum Certificate credential through Agile Classrooms.
Suggested Participation: Educators, middle school, high school, or early college students working on group projects for students seeking Industry Recognized Credentials (IRCs) as part of their career and technical education program.
By the end of the workshop, students will:
Describe the responsibilities of the Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Developers.
Explain the purpose and order of Scrum’s core events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Retrospective.
Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Increment
Analyze how Scrum’s values and empirical process help teams learn and improve over time.
Use Scrum to solve a problem or create a simple product in a team-based simulation.
